Your dining time will depend on the experience you choose when booking your cruise. They offer early, late, and anytime seating in the main dining room. With 12 dining venues onboard, there is no shortage of food options. Four main dining rooms are spread across deck five and six, with the other venues spread throughout the ship. Meraviglia is MSC's first ship fitted with new technologies specifically designed to improve the onboard digital experience for passengers. A standard nightly menu is consistent throughout the voyage, offering traditional dishes like steak, fish, and chicken. Meraviglia-class is MSC's first vessels with a museum - showcasing original art masterpieces from The Louvre (Paris, France). The original artworks are shown behind bullet-proof glass (like in all land galleries). MSC signed a special insurance policy, according to which in case of damages / lost the company would personally purchase these assets.

The layout is confusing to navigate, too, with lots of nooks and crannies that can make it difficult to find what you're looking for. It was crowded beyond reason during mealtimes, so I avoided it whenever possible, only eating there twice during the voyage for research purposes. The largest — L'Olive Dorée and L'Olivo D'Oro, which are mirrors of one another — are found on Deck 6, across from one another and flanking the hallway that eventually leads to Panorama. All four dining rooms offer set seating, except Panorama, which also accommodates passengers with Aurea bookings who have anytime dining. On the other occasion, I saw a couple of adults eyeing the chicken nuggets that were on offer. Children aren't the only ones who enjoy chicken nuggets, nor are they the ones who pay the cruise fares.

All of the ships also have a giant pool deck, a water park and a sprawling amusement area with race car simulators, a flight simulator and an XD cinema. The Yacht Club is where the majority of suites are located, including the "standard" Yacht Club Deluxe Suites (301 square feet on Meraviglia class; 270-square-feet on Seaside class). Meraviglia debuted a number of cabin firsts for the line, including Duplex Suites, which are double-height, with a living room on the lower level and the sleeping area above; as well as 15 inside studio cabins. There is, in addition, a dining room in the Yacht Club on both ships -- but note, this is for Yacht Club passengers only.
Guests do have the option of balcony suites as well as standard balcony, ocean view, and interior staterooms. One of the limitations of a more modest-sized ship is that they don’t have as many food options, relying heavily on the main dining room and the classic cruise staple – the buffet. There is, however, a sushi bar onboard, which provides more choice. Among those are the Mediterranean Village (speciality restaurant) and the exclusive Yacht Club Fine Dining Restaurant. The buffet is open 20 hours per day and serves international cuisines and Mediterranean specialties, including world food, wellness and "itinerary" corners.
